The 233 acres of the city owned course are public and have 4 sets of tees for each hole so that it plays from 5,059 to 7,308 yards. It has a big practice space offering the driving range, sand trap, chipping and putting greens. You will find a wide range of golf schools offering anything which you need by way of golfing lessons.

The Sheraton Rollingstone Ranch and Club is a Robert Trent Jones II design and opened for 18-hole play in the summer of 1974. The course offers exceptional panoramic views of the lush the Steamboat Ski Area,Yampa Valley, Fish Creek Canyon and Flat Tops Mountains while Fish Creek meanders through seven of the holes. Abundant forests of aspen trees surround the bluegrass fairways while 72 bunkers test the skills of golf players on the 6,902-yard course. It offers relaxed playing conditions to golf players at all levels due to the easier teeing areas and the more ample landing areas. It's less challenging than other golf courses.
In designing the Catamount Golf Ranch and Club, designer Tom Weiskopf took a great deal of care with each feature of the layout and the result is that every hole gives a unique and compelling tale. For example, the 14th hole goes along Walton Creek through ancient stands of Douglas fir and provides gorgeous views in between the trees. The 17th hole is positioned on the summit of a ridge with a drop of 80 ft. overlooking the Flat Tops Wilderness Area. You're totally encircled by natural splendor as you walk through fields, natural rock formations and forests of aspen and cottonwood trees.
